JON KELIEHOR
The music of Jon Keliehor comes from his involvements both as a percussionist
and composer working with contemporary dance, film and theatre. Within this
range of visual applications, his experience with companies such as London
Contemporary Dance Theatre, Danza Hoy (Venezuela) and many independent dancers, has provided an impetus to create
music responding both to the imagination and to the dynamics of the physical
body. His work is wholly inventive and emotive, an original music that reaches
out to a wide audience. He draws on a large resource of modern and old-growth
musical instruments that allow him to unite ideas across cultures. It is a
music that is deeply historic, mythological and cultural.
